What if our intersections contained not just concrete and cars, metal and dirt - but rather expressed our desires, passions, colors, and community? A few of us in Oshkosh were inspired recently by a project in Portland, OR where residents in neighborhoods took back their intersections from traffic and drab, and replaced them with works of beauty and centers for community space.
Tonight, Tuesday Feb. 10, City Council meeting; a workshop on NeighborWorks will be offered after the usual business meeting, detailing plans for the near East neighborhood.
